Let's play the guessing game!

A week ago I got new furniture for my front room. I had been watching it on Craig list for awhile but was hesitant because I like dark colors and it was fairly light(a light tan). But this set was leather and that is a huge bonus in my book. (I don't think after owning our other leather set I would ever do fabric. It wipes and cleans so nicely.) Anyways the price was set pretty high and of course being the cheap skate I am decided against it.

Beau and I kept watching it and the price went down quickly because they were anxious to sell it before they moved. We went and looked at it and I loved it. Even though the price was right, I was hesitant. (This is just me by nature. I have a hard time spending a huge sum of money at one time. On one thing! I really am a cheap skate- what can I say?) I kept thinking about it but decided not to get it. But Saturday night I came home to it in my front room. Beau had surprised me with it!I am so glad he did too because I love it and I would have been an idiot not to get it!

So my question to you is how much do you think we spent? This is a all leather set, a little over a year old, and the owner payed $3800 for it. It is in perfect condition and has no flaws! If I already told you than you can't guess. But I just want to see what kind of deal you think we got! Happy guessing! May the best guesser win!!!

I love the furniture, it looks so nice! I am horrible at guessing things, but with it being craigslist I would say $1500?? Am I even close?!! Maybe I shouldn't be guessing first! :) Let me know the truth soon, I want to know!!

Okay first of all Bonnie, I love your blog. I never get to see you guys very much, but the blog helps me feel like I'm not missing everything. Jessie is blogging too and it helps so much to watch the babies grow.
About the furniture, It's very pretty, I'm not good at the price thing, MY moto is buy high, sell low,,,, Ask Beau he knows...hahaha
Anyway I wanted to tell you I have the perfect idea when I saw your room, for the corner between the couches-- At the shop we have a tall red vase, that would look great with some pussy willow ( which my neighbor has a tree) or some curly willow, (which I have a tree) but it would be the perfect thing for that corner. I'll bet you could find a tall vase at DI and paint it. It could be ceramic or metal, And I'm sure there are pussy or curly willow trees there. But they may already be too far into the spring, we are just barely coming out of the dead of winter here.
Sorry for the book, is this still considered a comment??? heheehe. we sure miss you all and hope to see you this summer. love ya all, Auntie Lori

I can't play since I already know but they look so good Bonnie! I think you should leave them upstairs, it really compliments the room! A new excuse for new pillows is always good in my book!

Hey there Bonnie! I found you through Gina's blog. I decided to go on a hunt through blogs for familiar faces. I wondered if this was "Bonnie Coon" so I clicked and, walla, here you are. Now I'm really laughing because I have been using your recipe blog(from Gina's) for the past couple weeks. Had no idea it was you! I started wondering, though. You look great. If you don't mind, I'll stop in and see how you're doing on occasion. My blog is private, but if you want to visit, I just need your email to let you in. I'm at chhudman@hotmail.com It was good finding you.

Hmmmm. $968. I like easy- round numbers. I have no clue, really, but they look so nice, I'm going to have to come and see it in person. I like how you made new pillows for it too, it all looks awesome!

I'll say $500 just to be the cheapest. Ha! They look great in your house! What a nice hubby you have.

Sweet cuppin cakes! I love the light leather look (obviously--every picture of our kids is taken on our "bone" leather couch). And when your kids rip a hole in the leather from taking the cushion on and off a squillion times per day, you can just replace that part with some nice off-white vinyl. It almost matches :).

I guess $350.

I would have said nothing over $500 because i know that "Cheap Skate" I am the same...good ol' dad.
love the front room. i think with what you have done with your home you are going to make a HUGE profit when you sell.
