Memorial Day

Is there any other way to spend the day?
Memorial Day was a blast.

Savanah and Kennedy have been loving their dance classes this year. They have had lots of performances and lots of fun. I love seeing them work so hard at what they love!

No Training Wheels

Lukas is obsessed with his bike. OBSESSED is not even a strong enough word to describe how much he loves to ride his bike. He has been on a bike since he could ride. He is crazy on it. He jumps, skids, jumps some more, and totally has no fear whatsoever. Beau had been noticing that for quite some time now Luke has been riding on one wheel 'cause his training wheels are broken {Beau bent them on purpose to make him learn to balance quicker} and that half the time the way he balanced made him ride without either training wheel. Beau kept saying to me that he thought Lukas could easily ride without them.

This is our typical Lukas out riding bright an early in the morning half dressed..
He likes to pretend his is riding a "go go" {which in Lukas talk means a dirtbike}
I {heart} these pictures of him in his "go go" gear.
Look at that wheel.
This one melts my heart.

 After an hour of riding, Beau removed his training wheels and just put his bike down. Lukas hoped on, beau barely holding onto the back, and Lukas took off. No training wheels. No dad running behind him helping him balance. Just him. Perfectly riding.

My 3 year old can ride a bike without training wheels.
It is awesome and maybe a little scary 'cause he has no fear.

He was a little cautious when he turned {look at that face} but he did great!

 I fear the next thing Luke is going to be asking us is if we will let him ride the "go go" by himself!

Yipee...I am so excited. I LOVE spring.
This little beauty just sat and watched me as I soaked up some fresh spring air.
I can't believe that Summer is just around the corner.

Solar Eclipse

The kids have done nothing but talk about the solar eclipse for over a week now. They were extremely anxious from learning all about it in school.
We spent the evening with the Church family.
First, a hike out west of town. Then we headed to their house to watch the eclipse.
Let's just say we were all unprepared and didn't order any of the special glasses we were suppose to have, so we made our own. We started with 3 pairs of sunglasses then finally ended up with six because it was so bright.
HAHAHA...these pictures  make me laugh!

Definitely a unique way to view it, but hey, we all enjoyed ourselves.

Iron Mine Race Track

One of our favorite ways to spend the weekend is to wake up early and head out to the race track or Warner Valley. The kids LOVE watching their dad ride his motorbike. Since Scarlett has made her debut in the world, Beau hasn't gotten a chance to do to much riding. So we took the opportunity to head out to the track with some friends.

 Lukas is completely in awe and seriously likes to pretend that he is "go go riding" too!

I love that my husband has hobbies he loves! He works so hard for our family. He is one of the hardest workers I know. He puts in long hours at work, works overtime all the time, and is always the first to help a friend or neighbor out. So I know how important it is for him to be able to get to and do something he loves.
I think the thing I love so much about my husband is that he finds the time to support me in everything I love. He drives me around to take nature pictures. He comes along on photo shoots to be with me and to help out. He always encourages me in whatever my interests are. So it is easy for me to do the same for him. I really do love watching him. It is a great way for us to be together as a family!

Here are some random photos from our morning at the Race Track.
Our friends Kurt and Farah LeFevre always bring their toy hauler and let us hang in it with them.
Our friend Derek  was there too.
Here is Beau having a great time and getting some air.

 Here are a few of Kurt...

 ...and Derek....
 Can't wait for all the fun day riding trips this summer.
Beau looks hot in his "riding outfit" haha.
{I call it riding outfits, he informed me it is gear, either way...HE IS HOT!}
