October Highlights

We love the month of October in our household.
We love Halloween, dressing up, baking goodies, and enjoying the crisper days!

We have had lots of fun FHE's.

We love FAMILY FUN magazine. It always has the best ideas and great fun goodies for the kids to make. SO we made these cute kitty treats for some neighbors, after our lesson.
(Just rice crispy treats, made out of cocoa pebbles, rolled in a ball. They were super DELISH!)

We also had a great FHE with the Lovell family.
Carving pumpkins, baking seeds, and eating spaghetti.
Can it get any better?

We also attended our 3rd annual Couple's Halloween Party!
Everyone looked so great in their costumes.
Beau and I decided to be GOTH this year. Hilar!

Oh...so creepy!

The costumes were great....

And ,of course, we can't forget one of my favorite holidays.
HALLOWEEN.

The kids all had so much fun dressing up and trick-or-treatin'.

Savanah's Spa Night

Savanah has been begging forever to have her friends over for a spa night! We finally were able to get it all together and do it!

We started out by choosing masks. The girls all wanted the organic charcoal mask. And I opted for avocado's.

Then we did finger nails and toes!

She had so much fun with her friends. Beau and I feel so blessed that she has such great friends who we get to be around quite often!

She is already asking when we can have "Friends Spa Night" again!

Another new post below!
And check out my project link on the side bar. I finally took all my old posts, from refurbishing, to crafts, etc, and put it all in one place. I have updated recently too!

Idaho Part 3

For the last part of our trip we got to stay with my sister Rebecca, in Soda Springs. It was Conference Weekend so we got to not only enjoy good company, but also got to hear our Prophet and others speak. It was so relaxing and refreshing. And there were so many wonderful talks given.

While the guy's were at priesthood session we made sushi. (Well, Bec made and taught me) And boy was it DELISH!

Rebecca is an exceptional cook. She made the yummiest food for us the whole time! You can check some of her recipes out here!
( I am still thinking of her divine potato salad and peanut butter cup brownies. LUSCIOUS!)

She also had this fun activity for the kids. She had frozen ice, with stuff in it, in large bowls. Then gave the kids butter knives to dig it out. It provided some great entertainment!

Thank you so much for spoiling us rotten while we were there. I am still thinking about all the divine goodies you made us!

Idaho Part 2 Baptism

The whole reason for our trip to Idaho was for Savanah's baptism. We wanted her to be able to be surrounded by family and friends on her special day! We were so blessed that her cousin Truman waited for her so they could get baptized together!

Savanah kept saying she was so excited and nervous. You couldn't wipe the smile off her face all day long!

Beau and I both wanted to give her something special. So I cut the underlining of my wedding dress and my mom made a ribbon out of it for her hair. I told her about the day I got sealed in the temple and how it was a special and important day for me. So I gave her the ribbon and told her I wanted her to have something special for her day, from my special day. Then Beau had picked out a gorgeous earring and necklace set for her. She was touched and has already put those things in a special place.

Truman and his Dad

It was so nice after she got baptized to be able to have a few moments with her alone to talk about what just happened. The words she said to me, after she got baptised, will forever be in mind and I will cherish those moments when the spirit was so strong, and feelings we both experienced forever.

I know I say it all the time, but she really is such a good girl. She sets such a good example to her siblings and to us as her parents.

We are so proud of her decision to be baptized!
