Sunny St. George

One of the best things about living in Cedar is how close we are to warmer weather.
Cedar is way warmer than where both Beau and I grew up, but heading down a little further south to St. George is great!
It is always another 10-20 degrees warmer!

We had a blast on our "Family Date" weekend!
The kids are always asking why we go out every Friday and why they don't get to come along. So Beau and I thought it would be fun to have a long weekend of "Family Date Night."

We kicked off our Friday with Panda Express and Nanny Mcphee Returns, which we loved. And then let the kiddos campout in the family room.
Saturday we headed to St. George and spent a good portion of our day picnicking and playing in the park!
It was heavenly!
Not ONE fight.

And one thing I especially love about my kiddos is their willingness to include Lukas and help him.
It gives Beau and I so much time to relax, talk, and enjoy watching them.
They are all so independent - even Lukas wanted to go down the big slide with no help, over and over and over! HA!

 Over...
 ...and over....
 ...and over again....
And I got to enjoy this beautiful niece of mine for four days!!
LOVE HER!!

New Year's, New Rezzies

Of course I have LOTS of goals and things I want to work on this year.
Every year I chose just one word that basically sums up all lot of my goals for the New Year.
You can read about those here and here.

So  after giving my 2011 word lots of thought, I finally decided that my word would be
BALANCE
With my family of 6, photography business, crafting, and all the other things demanded of me, I often spread myself way to thin.
I get overwhelmed, cry, throw an adult sized tantrum, but really only have myself to blame.
So this year the word BALANCE seemed fitting.
I need to keep my life in perfect BALANCE and harmony.
Balance my time better.
Balance my business better so I can have more free time.
Balance my priorities in levels of importance .

To have balance means to.......

bal·ance noun, verb, -anced, -anc·ing.

–noun
1.
a state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc.
2.
something used to produce equilibrium; counterpoise.
3.
mental steadiness or emotional stability; habit of calm behavior, judgment, etc.
#3 is definitely the best for me this year. Those who know me know that I get severely anxious, so I like the "calm behavior" part!
I am looking forward to a beautiful and blessed 2011~
I have so many projects and goals for this year!
I LOVE fresh starts, don't you?
