Before and After- Part 2

BeFoRe:

This is the room how we walked through and viewed it. I knew it would be the perfect girls room. It had a large deep closet and the room is pretty big.

I hated to paint over the beautiful hand painted murals, but I had already been planning on how to decorate the girls room. I had the color scheme already picked out!

So here are a few pictures after. I painted the walls and the closet doors. We added molding around the windows and the window box. We added a vinyl lettering all the way around the room that says "Sugar and spice and everything nice...that's what little girls are made of." The room looks huge with the girls trundle bed.

AfTeR-

The old window on the wall is from my great Grandma Maxfields Farm. My sister Hanna grabbed one for me at a reunion a few years back. I left the original paint on it too! It matches great!

I am so pleased with how it turned out. I still have some pictures for the other wall I need to get up. But someday..

Girl, you sure got an eye for things, did you make that box around the top of the window? I love it! How did you ever think of that?

I did make the box. I used 1x8 and 1x6. In our old house in Idaho I dreamed about how to make it...ha...seriously too! It is nice for older houses that don't have the vaulted ceilings. It just adds an extra ledge to decorate on!

Thanks!!:)

Soooo cute! I LOVE the window on the wall. I'm always on the look out for something like that. They are big bucks at the antique shops!

Love it! Just as cute as I remember it. I agree, it's a lot cuter than it was before you painted over it.

I love it, Bonnie--you're so amazing. I love the "sugar and spice" idea--that's cute. Have I seen the room like this? I can't even remember, because I never really go into the bedrooms when I'm at your house!
